A Modern Practice
of Witchcraft

2021

book one of The Path series

Over the years, the Coven of Young Crones has developed a way of practicing Modern Witchcraft called "The Path" Tradition. This book contains four parts. The first is Metaphysical Kernels of Thought which detail a number of our Tradition's beliefs about how the Universe Works and why we practice the way we do. Next are the rituals we use to celebrate the Sabbats and Cross Quarter Times along with sample Full Moon and Dark Nights of the Moon rituals. The Liturgy of The Path is a series of prayers for personal use as part of this practice. Also included are a number of Incense recipes, an Anointing Oil recipe, and information about Rocks, Stones, and Crystals we have used for magickal practices over the years.

The Liturgy
of the Path

A Book of Prayer
for Witches

2022

book two of The Path series

A Liturgy is a group of observances or prayers put together in a structured way to convey a system of belief. A prayer can best be defined as a way to sanctify something important. Sanctifying makes it scared or dedicates it to a specific purpose. The Liturgy of The Path was created as a way to express some Witchcraft beliefs in words and art. It includes our Creed or statement of beliefs, Blessings, Ritual Pieces, Chants, Praise Poems, and Psalms or sacred songs for dealing with various aspects of life from a Witch's perspective. Each piece has an illustration to help convey the meaning of the words. For some, it is easier to connect with the words first, either read or spoken aloud, and then appreciate the illustration while others are more visual and can find their meaning through illustrations first before beginning to see the words.

Ritual Practices
of the Path

A Book of Ritual
for Witches

2023

book three of The Path series

As part of The Path Tradition, we celebrate rituals for many reasons. Over the years, we have written rituals for all sorts of purposes which we have divided into Seasonal, Esbats, Daily, and Singular practices. The Seasonal includes the Solstices, Equinoxes, and what we call the Cross-Quarter Times. Esbats are all types of Moon rituals. Daily rituals include small practices that have become part of our everyday lives to make each day more sacred. Finally, Singular rituals have allowed us to celebrate important moments in our lives because we believe that the more we make ritual a part of our lives, the larger our Immanent (Inner) Spark of the Divine becomes. We are sharing them for anyone to read, try out, adapt for their own practices as they choose because they have allowed us to experience mirth and reverence as part of our spiritual practices and we wish you the same.

2020

365 Days of Practice

Crafting a Magickal Life is a year and a day adventure where each day has it's own entry! They are divided up into 5 categories: Information, Something to think about, Something to write about, Something to do, Something to make. Each entry won't take a lot of time to get through and allows the reader to devote a few minutes each day to their spiritual practice. By encouraging spiritual growth and development through self-reflection, it's perfect for anyone who is interested in exploring a daily practice! At the end of the year, you can go back and start over from the beginning and hopefully get something different when you repeat the entries because you will have grown spiritually and become a different person. Our wish is that this book makes you think about some things you may never have encountered before or generates new perspectives for you; that you grow and develop spiritually in ways that bring you joy; and most of all, that you begin or renew the process of making magick a part of your everyday life so that you develop some balance between the magickal and mundane worlds we walk between.

Home Place

Kristi Jensen has a plan for a peaceful, comfortable life, safe and quiet in the cradle of her hometown. Through tragedy and loss, she finds herself thrust into the midst of a situation far greater than herself. She must adapt to life with her new neighbors in a classic brownstone that could only be described as magical and living in a strange city far from home. Her talent as a creator, a musician, is being strongly challenged, as her confidence, in this mystifying place, when a revealing dream of her grandmother awakens her understanding that she holds the rare and special inner gift of magic. With her new friends and community, including her band the Seven of Cups, Kristi will challenge both human and godly forces aligned with greed and lust. Interwoven with the discussions of magical Gods (both Old and New), the destiny unfolds as Kristi's new Home Place shows her to herself while she saves it from utter destruction and restores the vivid history of its spirited past.

Stories from Home Place

From the pages of Home Place come a series of short stories about other brownstone residents who bear an uncanny resemblance to each of the Major Arcana Cards from a Tarot Deck. Each is experiencing some major life issues that are resolved through the help of Elsbeth, a witch and ghost, who lives there to keep an eye on her granddaughter Kristi. You can now read the story of her life as a small-town witch and how she came to be living her afterlife (at the moment) at the brownstone. There is also the history of the artist Peter Dawson whose work led to the saving of the neighborhood. You can also read the story of one of the New Gods, Isaiah, and his quest to figure out exactly what he is.

Creating a Magickal Tool Box

Generally Witchy Series #3

We have learned over the years that we are the magick. On The Path, we believe that we don’t need a lot (or any) tools or correspondences. As long as we ask for the aid of the energies we work with and create our intent for spells or to perform ritual, then the process works. However, it is always nice to add in the bells and whistles that many think they “need” to have because they are aesthetically pleasing to look at, touch, or smell as part of the experience. This monograph discusses creating a Magickal Toolbox where you can keep important things for your own practice. The idea of gathering together items that are an aid to your ability to make magick and having them easily accessible makes a practice much easier and more coherent. The monograph breaks these items into three types: Altar Supplies, Spellwork Stuff, and Magickal First Aid Kits.

Some of the correspondences presented match the “traditional” while others have been developed because of the relationships we establish with them. Many Witches feel that plants and animals have a spirit that you can learn to interact with to understand their energies or gifts that you can work with as part of the practice of Witchcraft. However, when you think about it, stones also have different energies and gifts connected with them as well.
